Description of Work: Security Protection Installation
Background:
Wessex Fire & Security work with a number of industry leading solar farm developers to protect their installations from damage and theft. We protect large scale remote sites through the application of a wide range of robust technologies including CCTV Perimeter beam detection, fence line protection, buried microphonic cabling and dual path communication devices.
Scope:
All our systems are designed with dependability in mind to meet the specific requirements of each project application. For Anesco’s Sandy Moor site we installed full site perimeter beam detection and intruder detection to all site control structures and cabinets.
The AC and DC wiring systems, LV Switchgear/inverter frames on site was installed and commissioned by Wessex Electricals. Wessex Fire and Security worked alongside on a turn-key basis and undertook the wiring of all site data loggers as well as the site security provisions.
In total the site has 12,000 240 Watt modules that took over 150 kilometres of cable to connect up. This was a fast turnaround project for the Wessex Group. The whole site was wired, tested and commissioned in just four and a half weeks.
