RESIDENTIAL SERVICES

Service &
Maintenance

A good fire system can save your life. Your home’s fire alarms and equipment will need proper, regular maintenance to ensure that all systems are in working order and are ready to deploy and protect your family in the event of an emergency.

Regular and professional

Simply having fire systems and equipment installed, and familiarising yourself and your family in their operation, is not quite enough to ensure ongoing effective fire safety in your home. These systems and tools should also be regularly, and professionally, inspected and maintained.

Whether you have a simple smoke detector and a set of fire extinguishers, or an end-to-end heat and smoke monitoring system, range of extinguishers and a sprinkler system, you will want to ensure that all your equipment is in working order and is ready to effectively deploy if disaster should strike.

Confidence and compliance

Wessex can provide regular routine checks and maintenance for all your fire safety systems, including existing solutions, to comply with fire safety guidelines should they apply but, primarily, to give you ongoing peace of mind.

Most commonly maintenance is planned, regular and at appropriate intervals but we can also carry out ad hoc checks and maintenance following a fire or false alarm, or if, for example, you have had to partially deploy an extinguisher. We know what family life is like – toast gets burnt, shower steam billows from bathrooms, and kids pull at fire blankets. But even with the knocks of daily life, a properly serviced and maintained fire safety solution should be ready to go at any time.

One visit

Most of our alarm engineers are cross-trained to carry out your extinguisher servicing, required once a year, at the same that we do the scheduled maintenance of your alarm system. So you may only need as little as one annual maintenance visit to keep your system up to speed.

Insurance

Having well-planned, installed and maintained fire safety precautions can make a difference to your insurance premiums, and help if you have to make a claim.

Reassurance

Regular checks and maintenance is the only way to have confidence that your fire systems are ready to protect your household in any emergency that might arise.

Upgrade

At any point in time your needs may change. You might install a wood burner and need a new carbon monoxide alarm, or refurbishment and renovation may require a move of alarms or extinguishers. Wessex can visit and advise on upgrades or adjustments to your system at any point.
