Electric
Vehicle Charging
With the government now providing financial incentive schemes to businesses for the installation of vehicle charging points at the workplace, there is no better time to look at the environmental benefits you are providing to your staff.
For you, your staff and the environment
Wessex Energy supplies Electric Vehicle charging solutions for businesses big and small. Whether you need single charging stations or a large, fast charging hub for a fleet of vehicles, each of our solutions is tailored to your needs. Our team works with the latest technology and leading brands to provide reliable and efficient EV power solutions, communicating with you at every step of the installation.
Take advantage of the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS), which is a voucher-based scheme that provides support towards the up-front costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle charge-points, for eligible businesses, charities and public sector organisations.
Convenient and clean
In order to be eligible for the grant, your electric vehicle chargepoints for staff, visitor or fleet use need to be installed on dedicated off-street parking. With numerous options available, we can help you make the best choice.
The most common workplace installation is a wall-mounted Type 2 7kW charger, which is compatible with most of the best-selling electric vehicles and will charge a vehicle fully in around 3 to 4 hours. You may want to install a faster 22kW unit, or even a Rapid Charger, if budget and space allow. You also need to decide whether you want wall-mounted units, which are typically cheaper to install, or a post. If your charge point is going to be in an area that is publicly accessible, it is essential to look at key or RFID access. Whatever your choice, and Wessex can advise on the best for your business needs, we can install and service them all.
