Fire Safety Signs

It is a legal requirement that businesses display appropriate signage throughout their premises to keep customers and employees informed about risks, hazards, exits and equipment. To ensure signage is compliant you can choose to source them from a specialist like Wessex.

Expert eyes

It may not be obvious what signage you need and, equally, too much signage can be dangerous as it can create ‘warning blind spots’. If your business has complex health and safety compliance needs, our expert advice can help.

As well as supplying all the Health and Safety signs you need, Wessex can help you define and plan the signs you need across your offices, factories, shops or any other commercial buildings. We can also carry out reviews of all your current fire, safety, evacuation and other HSE compliant signage and assure you of compliance or recommend improvements.

Clear signposting

Part of the UK law tell us that the signs need to be clear, legible and used to identify actions that need to be taken or are prohibited, safeguards that must be followed, warnings of hazards or risks, and directions towards exits and equipment.

Wessex supply a complete range of Fire, Health and Safety and Emergency compliant signage. All of our Fire Safety Signs, Health and Safety Signs and other notices comply with the latest legislation and regulations.

Compliance with the law

Wessex experts can assess your buildings and ensure that you have the correct signage to comply with the UK law including BS 5499-2:1986, Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996 and EN ISO 7010:2012.

Confidence

With the right signage in place you can feel confident in the safety of your employees as they go about their working day, and your customers as they visit your business.

Avoid accidents

Failing to comply with legislation could be costly if your employees or customers are involved in an accident that could have been prevented if the right signs were displayed.

Cut through the confusion

The legislation regarding Health and Safety is complicated and it could be tempting to overload your premises with signage, which could do more harm than good. Wessex can help simplify the whole process.
