The way we grow, nurture and recognise talent within our organisation is one of the things that sets Wessex apart from our competitors. Experience has shown us that the more you are supported and encouraged to learn and develop skills, the better you and our business performs.
Our approach to employee advancement has developed over 50 years of experience.
We have built an engaging culture of structured training, supported by tried-and-tested methods of on-the-job coaching, mentorship, and apprenticeship and management opportunities. We are extremely proud that our own management development scheme, specifically designed to advance the careers of senior engineers, has now been adopted by the Electrical Contractors Association for the benefit of the whole industry.
Your development goals are unique to you, so your training plan should be too.
We carry out regular training needs analysis activities to build a picture of what we want to achieve as a business, and what you want to achieve as an individual. We can then produce an annual training plan for each individual that includes any statutory training (for qualification renewal) and refresher training, but also incorporates product and development training focussed on your personal goals.
