Background:
Canford School is a spectacular Grade 1 building located in an idyllic setting near to the market town of Wimborne Minster in Dorset. The school was founded in 1923 and is one of the UKs top independent coeducational boarding schools for over 660 students aged 13-18.
Scope:
With such a large security system Wessex Fire & Security have a regular on site presence as well as on call service to provide support for the school 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The comprehensive fire and intruder alarm systems, installed in all buildings across the large school campus have helped make this a much safer and secure environment for the pupils that attend the school. We have also supplied the school with fire extinguishers.
Working within a busy environment and dealing with a large number of staff and pupils provides a great challenge in coordinating the planned works as well as and dealing with the reactive requirements in order to ensure that the school remains secure and functioning at all times.
