Description of Work: Installation & Maintenance of Fire & Intruder Alarms
Background:
Bath University is a world renowned university with a truly excellent academic reputation. It was ranked as ‘University of the Year 2011/12’ by the Sunday Times and has over 15,000 students currently enrolled.
Scope:
Wessex Fire & Security have been the provider of choice for Fire & Security systems at the University for over a decade. We carry out the routine service and maintenance of the fire alarm systems as well as design, install, service and maintain new systems in keeping with the University’s expansion plans.
Wessex Fire & Security have also fitted a site wide Drax alarm management system; Drax have been a trusted and independent provider of fire alarms since 1997.
We have built an excellent working relationship with the University by delivering on time and to an agreed timescale to ensure that the University’s day to day operations are not affected.

In partnership with Wessex, the University has developed an integrated alarm collection system (Drax) dedicated on a single PC utilising the University IT network system, this has allowed non-technical personnel to identify and react to alarm activations.”
