Wessex Group has donated £5000 to Marie Curie, the UK’s leading end-of-life charity. The Wessex Group raised donations through various initiatives throughout the year, with the charity chosen by staff. The funds were presented to a representative of Marie Curie, marking the end of another successful year of fundraising for Wessex Group, who have a long history of charitable support for both local and national organisations.
“We are delighted to support Marie Curie and contribute to the incredible work they do,” said Tracey Martin at Wessex Group. “Our teams have come together to raise funds in a variety of ways, and it has been inspiring to see the generosity and enthusiasm from our staff.”
£5,000 was raised through a series of fundraising initiatives, including challenges, bake sales, and the annual Christmas raffle. Wessex Group has a strong commitment to social responsibility and their annual fundraising efforts have previously benefited a variety of worthy causes, including local charities: “The Brave and Determined Company” for mental health and “BooBs” breast cancer awareness most recently.
