At Wessex, we’re committed to reducing our environmental impact wherever we can from the materials we use to the way we manage waste across our sites. That commitment is reflected in the latest recycling results from the Shaftesbury yard.
Our waste and recycling data shows strong environmental performance:
In both 2024 and 2025, over 99% of waste was recycled.
In 2025, a total of 138.5 tonnes (99.6%) was recycled with only 504 kg (0.4%) going to landfill.
This follows an equally strong result in 2024, when 111 tonnes (99.8%) were recycled with only 252 kg (0.2%) going to landfill
Year after year, the figures show a clear trend: the vast majority of waste from the site is being diverted away from landfill and given a second life through recycling.
At Wessex, we’re proud to be reducing waste and keeping almost all of it out of landfill, and we remain committed to building on this progress year on year.
