Wessex Electricals are a family run company based in Dorset, with over 60 years’ experience in the industry. Due to our continued expansion, we are seeking an Electrical Qualifying Manager to join our Electrical Team at our head office in Shaftesbury. This will be a permanent position for someone with Electrical Contracts Management Experience or with someone looking to take the next step in their career in the electrical contracting environment.
Main Duties & responsibilities:
- To Qualify and process certificates generated from various contracts EICRs/Minor works/Install ETC….
- To motivate employees and associated staff
- To upskill and guide engineers to ensure they are working to current regulations and working safely.
- To ensure our certification continues to achieve industry high standards.
- To carry out on site assessments and training for engineers undertaking test & inspections (EICR’S)
- We also have improver electricians as well as apprentices that will require assistance in upskilling.
- Register any associated work for Part P
- Be responsible for annual calibration for any test equipment.

Essential Competencies:
- Demonstrable leadership and organisational skills
- Knowledge of health & safety, CDM regulations.
- Conversant with all Electrical testing software.
- Knowledge of building construction, including building regulations and guidance notes.
- Drive and ability to work under pressure to achieve goals and deadlines.
- Good administrative and time management skills
- Good level of IT skill to include, Microsoft word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Essential Qualifications
- Possession of a full driving licence and be willing to travel to fulfil the requirements of the post.
- Electrical Qualification such as NVQ Level 3 and AM2 or equivalent
- Knowledge of 18th edition Wiring Regulations
- Previous experience of Qualifying certificates
Remuneration:
- £42,000 – £45,000 pa dependent on experience
