Wessex ME is part of the Wessex Group of companies. We are looking for a Business Administration Apprentice to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-known business whilst studying for a recognised level 3 qualification.
The role will be based at our Head Office in Shaftesbury, Dorset and you will be working in WME.
Apprenticeship Summary
Working week
- Monday – Friday, 08:00am – 5.00pm each day
- 1 hour each day for lunch
- Total hours per week: 40
Expected duration
- 1.5 – 2 years
Anticipated Start date
- June 2026
Apprenticeship level
- Advanced Level Apprenticeship – Business Administration Level 3
Main Duties & responsibilities:
- Provide administration support to the team as required
- To assist in covering for other duties as and when required in other areas of the business
- To carry out such duties of a similar level of responsibility as reasonably required.
- To answer the department telephones and take messages when necessary for other members of staff.

Essential competencies:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Grades 4/C in English and Math’s at GCSE
- Confident with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- High level of accuracy
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Customer Focused.
- To be able to work well in a team.
Desirable:
- Excellent ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively to meet targets and deadlines.
- Good attention to detail.
- Can work well under pressure.

- £8.00 per hour
