Wessex ME is based in North Dorset and has more than 60 years’ experience in the electrical industry. As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Air Conditioning Service Engineer to join our growing HVAC team. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs across a diverse portfolio of commercial and high-end residential sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service & Maintenance: Perform routine servicing and testing of various air conditioning systems, including VRV, VRF, multi-splits, and AHUs.
- Fault Finding: Accurately diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and execute first-time fixes where possible.
- Repairs & Overhauls: Carry out component replacements, refrigerant recovery, and system pressure testing safely and efficiently.
- Compliance: Complete all digital service reports, worksheets, and F-Gas logs accurately and in a timely manner.
- Customer Service: Act as a reliable brand ambassador, building strong relationships with clients and providing expert advice.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- F-Gas Qualification: Full Category 1 Certification (Catering to current UK environmental regulations).
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in a field-based AC service and maintenance role. To be able to carry out small installations and minor install projects.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical schematics, and mechanical components.
- Driving Licence: Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Professionalism: Excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Remuneration:
- Salary – £40,000 – £48,000pa depending on experience
