Description of Work: Fire Alarm Install
Background:
The largest project undertaken by Wessex Fire and Security to date was for the Government at their new accommodation Project in Cheltenham, which forms the new GCHQ and is new centre for all communications.
Wessex Fire & Security formed a unique partnership with manufacturers Gent by Honeywell (for fire detection) and Baldwin Boxall (for voice evacuation warning) to ensure we achieved the the complex “cause and effect” requirements.
Working under contract to Crown House Technologies, one of the UK’s leading building services providers, the fire alarm and voice evacuation systems was installed to protect 80,000 square metres of office and corridors using more than 6,000 loudspeakers and 3,500 smoke detectors.
