Here at Wessex we have undertaken non-licensed asbestos training with ‘Ouch’. Ouch provide modern, cost effective Health, Safety & Wellbeing training services and have trained approximately 50 of our electricians, fire alarm installers, carpenters and plumbers to date.
The Health & Safety Executive have a wide range of information defining which work involving asbestos can be completed by suitably qualified workers. Additional procedures covering the planning and completion, transportation, storage and management of asbestos work is required but duty holders should be aware that some work may not require licensed asbestos contractors.
We ensure that our staff are trained to be as qualified as possible in as many areas as possible. Investing in our people remains a priority for Wessex. Training in asbestos has opened a new field of work for the Wessex team. We are committed to training all of our public facing staff in this key area.
