Following our recent Investors in People (IiP) re-assessment, we are delighted that the Assessor is “totally satisfied that Wessex continues to meet the requirements of the Investors in People National Standard.”
The Assessor made specific mention to a number of positive findings and was impressed both by the current series of management and supervisory skills programmes and our plan for a major programme of Customer Care training.
He said “Directors and senior staff at Wessex realise that the development of staff is only effective if built on sound management techniques. The commitment of Wessex to the recently launched management/supervisory skills and customer care programmes has seen the training budget rise to around £85K, a phenomenal increase”.
“Technical skills training has also continued apace and the performance appraisal system and Staff Satisfaction Survey continue to be well regarded, providing the management with some useful feedback”.
He also confirmed that “Staff felt that the efforts made by Wessex to keep them informed and up-to-date are good and worthwhile.”
