Electric
vehicle charging
With the government now providing financial incentive schemes to businesses for the installation of vehicle charging points at the workplace, there is no better time to look at the environmental benefits you are providing to your staff.

For you, your staff and the environment
The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is a new scheme providing support towards the up-front costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle chargepoints.
Once you have decided to explore electrical vehicle charging, Wessex experts can support you through the process. You can claim up to 75% of the cost of installing charge points for electric and hybrid vehicles, and provide the means for your staff to charge their personal vehicles at work. You might also want to take the opportunity to move your company car scheme, or fleet solution, to a more eco and budget friendly solution.

Convenient and clean
In order to be eligible for the grant, your electric vehicle chargepoints for staff, visitor or fleet use need to be installed on dedicated off-street parking. With numerous options available, we can help you make the best choice.
The most common workplace installation is a wall-mounted Type 2 7kW charger, which is compatible with most of the best-selling electric vehicles and will charge a vehicle fully in around 3 to 4 hours. You may want to install a faster 22kW unit, or even a Rapid Charger, if budget and space allow. You also need to decide whether you want wall-mounted units, which are typically cheaper to install, or a post. If your charge point is going to be in an area that is publicly accessible, it is essential to look at key or RFID access. Whatever your choice, and Wessex can advise on the best for your business needs, we can install and service them all.
