Client: Poole Borough Council
Location: Poole, Dorset
Description of Work: Electrical repairs and maintenance of civil buildings
Duration: 2012 – On going
Background:
Poole Borough Council is the unitary authority responsible for local government in the town and the borough of Poole in Dorset. It was created on 1 April 1997 following a review by the Local Government Commission for England.
Scope:
Wessex undertakes electrical reactive and planned maintenance for the Borough, encompassing in excess of 350 public buildings, ranging from the town hall complex, through to libraries and public conveniences. The contract includes emergency reactive repairs, periodic inspections, emergency lighting testing, and planned installation work.
We are currently undertaking a programme of electrical testing at the Poole Civic Building itself.
The Council is responsible for a number of heritage buildings and we have recently carried out electrical testing on one of their oldest medieval buildings, Scaplen’s Court Museum, and completed a full electrical testing programme at Upton House, a picturesque Grade II listed building in Upton Country Park.
