Salisbury District Hospital redeveloped their A&E department to include improvements to the waiting and reception area and facilities for minor injuries. They were looking to provide a new dedicated area to treat children, and increase the resuscitation area from two bays to three.
Delighted to have been chosen from a large list of eager contractors, Wessex Building Services managed the works for ISG Pearce Construction. The works included the complete refurbishment and enlargement of the existing emergency department in 6 phased sections offering modern facilities and a fresher aesthetic appeal for both staff and patients.
Wessex also refurbished the Pediatric department on two floors including new wards with separate bedrooms and equipped with all the usual services. In addition, Wessex installed an electronic lighting system featuring colour changing LED lighting and automatic colour chasing fittings along corridors to follow your progress with several feature fittings being installed.
The work provided by Wessex Building Services was invaluable to provide children who have to undergo treatment a brighter attractive surrounding with some interest and a calming influence.
