Voids Cleaner - Wessex Response - Shaftesbury

Wessex Response seeks to appoint an experienced Void Cleaner on a full-time permanent contract to work on vacant domestic property cleaning within a repairs and maintenance contract. We are a family run business based in the Dorset area.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

As a Void Cleaner you will be instrumental in giving the properties curb appeal for incoming residents. Ensuring that the property is left in a sparkle clean condition not just a builder standard clean.

  • To clean our clients' properties from top to bottom, inside and out.
  • Dust, hoover, shampoo, wipe around the kitchen and bathrooms as well as the living areas, hallways and bedrooms.
  • Cleaning all cupboards, ovens, hobs, microwaves, fridges, dishwashers and the wiping down of all top services.
  • Improve curb appeal of the properties if required, grass strimming, and turning soil if required.
  • You will also be required to inspect and snag the end product.

Essential Competences

  • Clean driving licence.
  • Cleans will be completed in the most environmentally friendly way possible.
  • A solid understanding of all commercial cleaning products and relevant COSSH and health and safety and working practices.
  • You must be able to work in a fast paced, pressured environment with the ability to make decisions quickly and 'think on your feet'.
  • Must be IT literate having a knowledge of using emails and to be able to operate a GO PRO to take post inspections clips for the client.
  • Able to work to deadlines to maximize profits while delivering value for money to our clients.
  • Ensuring compliance of health and safety & construction design management (CDM) regulations.

  • The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate previous experience of working on cleaning contacts within Responsive Repair & Void contracts for a Housing Association, Local Authority or Contractor
  • Preferably possess a trade / cleaning background.
