Office Administrator - Wessex Building Services - Ringwood

Wessex Building Services are a family run company based in Dorset, with over 20 years' experience in the industry. Wessex Building Services provides a comprehensive range of services, including, heating ventilation, air conditioning, hot & cold water services and all other mechanical ancillary requirements. due to our continued expansion we are seeking an administrator to join our Ringwood office.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answering incoming phone calls to Ringwood office, ensuring that calls are quickly transferred and responded to, or messages taken and communicated to relevant staff
  • Supporting the Service Coordinator with raising new jobs and scheduling service engineers and other duties
  • Providing support to the Procurement Team, e.g. invoicing and invoice queries
  • Compilation of quotes from cost sheets and rates provided, and liaising with customers regarding orders
  • Engineer timesheets

Assisting the Office Services Administrator with:

  • Meeting and greeting visitors to the Ringwood office
  • Preparation of standard Health and Safety and Contract Folders
  • Assisting with compilation of Contract Operating Manuals
  • Photocopying and scanning
  • Printing drawings
  • Printing tender information
  • General emails
  • Filing
  • Updating calendar for Meeting Rooms and hot desks
  • Distributing daily post and dealing with outgoing post
  • Other ad hoc administration tasks

 This list of responsibilities and duties is not exhaustive and the Company will expect you to perform other duties relevant to the job title.  

Essential Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum GCSE A-C or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Minimum of 3 further GCSEs A-C or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 Year experience in an office administration role including some reception/client telephone experience.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.


  • 2 or more year's experience in an office administration role.


  • Salary dependent on experience
  • Monday to Friday 8:00-17:00 with an hour for lunch
